Relationship Manager

We are looking for a well-organized, self-starter to join an industry leader in trust administration. Independent Trust Company (“ITC”) is an institutional quality trust company that is one of the “fastest growing” private companies in the US.

The Relationship Manager (RM) is an exempt key employee focused on the technical, compliance and risk management aspects of client accounts. The Relationship Manager is primarily responsible for delivering the highest standard of service as the primary point of contact with ITC clients and their Financial Advisors. The ideal candidate will work with internal partners to expeditiously process client requests and keep them informed of fiduciary decisions. The Relationship Manager role will adhere to the company processes for each task and goals set by department manager. The role will also maintain a high standard of business ethics and teamwork as well as develop productive partnerships within the company. The role is charged with maintaining a high-level work product and records. Success is measured by advancing our mission to serve clients, meeting deadlines and establishing/maintaining relationships that fit our risk management criteria. This is an onsite position located in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Essential Duties

• Comfortable using the phone as a primary form of communication with clients and advisors.
• Maintaining regular contact with clients, keeping them informed and documenting discussions.
• Take responsibility for assigned relationships, working with the team to expeditiously complete client request and/or tasks while managing potential risk to the company.
• Proactively monitoring and maintaining highly compliant account records to support ITC’s overall risk management program.
• Providing timely response to all tasks and tickets.

• Negotiate ITC paperwork and information requests.
• Ensure internal tracking and reporting compliance
• Assist with due diligence and account review
• Proactively take action to maintain strong client relationships and mitigate risk

Position Qualifications

• Excellent communication (written and verbal).
• Strong initiative and work ethic.
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in fast paced, collaborative and team-oriented environment.
• Understanding of finance and background with Financial Advisors.
• Background in or understanding of personal trusts.
• Prior Relationship Management experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services (Private or Commercial Banking) strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
